SDAUPSA Universal Uninterruptable Power Supply

The SDAUPSA is a state-of-the-art uninterruptible power supply (UPS) control device that offers reliable and robust power backup solutions for a wide range of applications. It has been developed at the base to eliminate the major single point of failure for the VELBUS home automation system, ensuring with it an exceptional uptime of 99,999%. However, it can also be used universally with other systems which are falling within the boundaries set forth in this technical specifications document.

Achieve 5 nines of availability for your home automation.

Thanks to its innovative design, the SDAUPSA allows for maintenance to be performed while it is in operation. The power supplies and batteries are hot-swappable, as long as the correct procedure is followed. This results in minimal downtime, ensuring high availability.

The backup power supply remains off-grid until it is needed, reducing energy waste and extending the lifespan of the backup power supply unit (PSU). The backup PSU is activated only when the main PSU's secondary voltage drops below 15VDC. The transition to the backup PSU is going unnoticed by the home automation configuration due to the battery which maintains an adequate voltage level during the failover.

In the event of a failover, there is no need to rush to replace the failing PSU, as the backup PSU is in its nearly new state. This gives users peace of mind and ample time to replace the failing PSU without significant risk.

In addition to its power backup capabilities, the SDAUPSA also includes an over-voltage protection feature, which safeguards the entire electrical installation. When a voltage of over 275VAC is detected, the residual current device (RCD) is triggered. For optimal performance, it is recommended to install the SDAUPSA at the beginning of the electrical installation.

With its advanced features and dependable performance, the SDAUPSA is an ideal choice for those seeking a cost-effective and easy-to-use solution for eliminating a major single point of failure in power supply and ensuring high levels of availability for connected devices, whilst protecting the home for overvoltage at the same time.
